Time Again for an Eastern Sierras Trip

Friday, August 31st

Hello, it's been awhile.  Life got in the way, ha, and I've had no time to post the bike rides I've done in the last few months.  But, yay, The Boyfriend and I are off to the Eastern Sierras for another ACTC and Western Wheelers club cycling adventure!

Surprisingly, the drive out from the Bay Area was stress free.  We enjoyed, as we've done in the past, the beautiful drive.  Before entering Yosemite, you'll pass through Groveland, a fabulous town and a great place to stop for food, in particular, we always visit, Kevin and Randi's Old Fashioned Meat Market for delicious sandwiches.

It's been 4 years since we've driven through Yosemite. Around every corner, another view that overwhelms and delights.

The area has been plagued with fires but we were fortunate to arrive to clear and clean skies.  Thank you firefighters for all that you do.

We saw a sign that said, "Speeding Kills Bears" to which The BF responded:  Then they shouldn't speed." Seriously, no need to zip through Yosemite.  Appreciate the landscape, and be mindful of what you can do to keep our planet beautiful and healthy.

On and on, spectacular scenery.

Never ever tire of this.  Words fail.  Wow is about all I can say. Soon, we'll be in June Lake, the start of our adventure.
